• The Lanterns were grown in my own garden, the fabulous lion head chopsticks and bowl were scoffed from my son who has a penchant for all things Asian. The fan my Mother had brought home (35 years ago) from an art store in Korea. As I placed the fan in my still life set-up, I realized that it was meant to paint on not paint of! Never the less, it was a fabulous addition to the composition and I loved painting the writings on the wood. Now, as I study the intriguing "Sumi-e" art form, I will eventually paint on the fan!
